Just had a blast at a pre-Grammy celebration at the Gibson Beverly Hills Showroom!
The famous maker of the iconic Gibson Guitars hosted an intimate celebration to mark this special week in music ahead of the industry’s biggest award night on Sunday. Attending the party were greats like the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson, , the Monkees’ Mickey Dolenz,
and Kris Kristofferson and Robby Krieger of the Doors who performed their favorite Beatles songs . Guests got to view a reproduction of the only artwork ever created by all four Beatles and to preview rare, never before seen photographs from the Bob Bonis Archive from 1964-1996.
Bob Bonis, 1932-1992) started as a talent agent in the late 1950s and became tour manager for the Beatles and the Rolling Stones during their first U.S. tours from 1964 to 1966. His artistic eye for composition and unequalled access to these performers yielded one of the most remarkable and largest never before seen archives of 3,600 images of the Beatles and The Stones.
And boy, am I having so much fun getting back into playing the piano myself this week!! Music is good for the soul!
